Kickstarter Project, April 2013. In response to my request for support for the tenth anniversary of my SmileyB project, 149 backers pledged $9,239, over 300% of the request, to help me distribute free SmileyB paintings in 20 states. This overwhelming response enabled me to distribute painting in all 50 states.

"The Smile Artist" textbook, 2013. Heinemann Press published a textbook for elementary schools about my street art project, paintings and murals.

SmileyB Project, 2003-present. I have distributed over 3,000 free Smiley paintings in all 50 states and in about 80 countries around the world, with a note saying, “This painting is yours if you agree to smile at random people more often.” Feedback from hundreds of recipients is on my website at www.bataclan.com

Art Residencies, 2001-present. I have completed over 300 school mural art residencies around the U.S., which include engaging students on art, kindness, and stopping bullying, as well as incorporating kids’ designs and ideas into the murals.
