HIGHLIGHTS

TEDxNatick Talk, January 2017, Natick, MA. Talked to an audience of 800 people on art and the power of paying kindness forward. In Fall 2017, a school district in New Jersey opened their all-staff training for the new school year by showing this video.

Kickstarter Project, April 2013. In response to my request for support for the tenth anniversary of my SmileyB project, 149 backers pledged $9,239, over 300% of the request, to help me distribute free SmileyB paintings in 20 states. This overwhelming response enabled me to distribute painting in all 50 states.

SmileyB Project, 2003-present. I have distributed over 2,500 free Smiley paintings in all 50 states and in 70 countries around the world, with a note saying, “This painting is yours if you agree to smile at random people more often.” Feedback from dozens of recipients is on my website at www.bataclan.com

Art Residencies, 2001-present. I have completed approximately 150 school mural art residencies around the U.S., which include engaging students on art, kindness, and stopping bullying, as well as incorporating kids’ designs and ideas into the murals.
